Ry-Ry The Soup Guy

The earliest memory I have of cooking is when I was five, and made a cake without a recipe. (It was green, but it was a cake.) My parents say I told my dad how to make cookies at 3, but I don't remember that. By the time I was seven I was cooking on a daily basis. I found it easy to make food taste good.

When I turned 13 I told a restaurant I was 14 so I could get into a kitchen to learn. I cooked in lots of restaurants until I was 19. I wanted to learn more so I started in a culinary art program. When I finished my degree I became the executive chef at a little restaurant called Larry’s Spring Chicken Inn. I worked there for 3 1/2 years. I was in charge of catering and day to day operations. I then moved to Saint George and started working at the Rococo steakhouse where I was the day chef.

On April 14th 2007 I started SHROOMIES. In June of 2008 SHROOMIES was voted best burger and soup in southern Utah, an honor we try to live up to for every customer. We want to treat every customer like family (the family we like not the other ones we don’t). I hope you will take the time to meet myself and my wonderful staff.
